In November, we learned that consumer prices in the UK rose by 2.3% in the 12 months to October, up from 1.7% in September.
The Bank of England’s (BoE) Monetary Policy Committee voted by a majority in November to lower UK interest rates from 5% to 4.75%, despite inflation still being above the BoE’s 2% target.
